Window Cleaning Cost 2026: $150–$300 Typical US Range

One visit at a single-family house, about 15 windows, both sides and the labor in one price, often clusters around $150–$300. A 10-window house costs less. A two-story or a large house costs more.

Planning range

One window-cleaning visit at a single-family house, about 15 windows, both sides of the glass and the labor in one price, on a weekday, with glass a crew can reach from the ground or a ladder. A house of about 10 windows, a two-story house of about 25 windows, a large house of about 30 windows, one side only, standard glass, a screen the visit left out, hard-water removal the visit left out, a house clean, a gutter clean, and a house wash are separate.

Typical planning range $150 to $300. National spread $75 to $900.

DIY or hire
Hire the glass. A wipe of one reachable pane is the owner's part. A second-story window is where a ladder becomes the job.
Repair or replace
Clean the glass when the panes are sound. Clean the rooms, clear the gutters, or wash the siding when that other job is what the dirt is.

One window-cleaning visit at a US single-family house — about 15 windows, both sides of the glass and the labor in one price, on a weekday, with glass a crew can reach from the ground or a ladder — often clusters around $150–$300. That is the typical window cleaning cost. Window cleaning prices, in that scope, are that visit, not a bottle of cleaner and not a new sash. The cost of window cleaning, when both sides and the labor are in the price, is the same band. How much window cleaning costs, for that same visit, is the same band. Window cleaning cost per window, for that same visit, is $10–$20. A house of about 10 windows is $100–$200. A two-story house of about 25 windows is $250–$450. A large house of about 30 windows is $450–$900. The wider national spread, about $75–$900, covers a minimum charge at the low end and that large house at the high end. A clean of the rooms is the house cleaning guide. A clean of the troughs is the gutter cleaning guide. A wash of the siding is the pressure washing guide. These are typical planning ranges, not a survey and not a quote.

This page is one visit at one house. A bid may call it window cleaning cost, window cleaning prices, the cost of window cleaning, how much window cleaning costs, or window cleaning cost per window. Both sides and the labor are in the price when the number is the typical band. It is not a house clean, which is the house cleaning guide. It is not a gutter clean, which is the gutter cleaning guide. It is not a house wash, which is the pressure washing guide. A wipe of one reachable pane is a smaller product. This page does not price it as the typical band.

The price of the job is the glass the crew washes and the hour that puts the labor in the price. The count is the first cut. Whether both sides and the labor are already in the price is the second. A 10-window house, a standard visit, a two-story house, and a large house are ways to buy one visit. The visit replaces a different visit. It is not a second visit under a price you already have.

The rows below are ways to read one job. They are not added together. The job table is one visit at a house the crew can reach. The typical band is one visit of about 15 windows, both sides and labor in: that row in full. A house of about 10 windows replaces that rate from $100 to $200. A two-story house of about 25 windows replaces it from $250 to $450. A large house of about 30 windows replaces it from $450 to $900. Use a rate row only for a line the visit row does not include. A rate the proposal already includes is not a second line.

JobTypical cost
About 10 windows$100–$200
Standard visit, about 15 windows$150–$300
Two-story house, about 25 windows$250–$450
Large house, about 30 windows$450–$900
Rate or added lineTypical planning range
Per window, both sides$10–$20
Standard glass, both sides, per window$8–$16
One side, per window$4–$8
Screen, if the visit left it out, each$2–$5
Hard-water removal, if the visit left it out, per window$10–$30

The job rows replace one another. Do not add a two-story price on top of a standard-visit price for the same glass. The rate row is a line the visit left out, or another reading of the same visit. A rate the proposal already includes is not the rate row on top. Screens the bid already folded into $150–$300 are not the screen row on top.

A standard visit — about 15 windows, both sides and the labor in one price — is typically $150–$300. The floor of the row is the typical floor. The top of the row is the typical top. The whole row is the typical band. One hundred fifty is 15 windows at $10. Three hundred is 15 windows at $20. One hundred fifty can be this row at its floor or 10 windows at $15. Three hundred can be this row at its top or 15 windows at $20. Ask which reading the bid is.

A house of about 10 windows — not the common house — is typically $100–$200. The overlap with the typical band is $150–$200. One hundred is $25 above the wider floor and $50 under the typical floor. Two hundred is inside the typical band and $100 under the typical top. From $100–$150 the job sits under the typical band and inside the wider spread. From $150–$200 the job is inside the typical band and inside this row. One hundred can be this row at its floor, 10 windows at $10. It is not the typical band with a discount. Two hundred can be this row at its top, 10 windows at $20. Do not add the standard-visit row under a 10-window price for the same trip.

A two-story house of about 25 windows is typically $250–$450. The overlap with the typical band is $250–$300. Two hundred fifty is $100 above the typical floor and the floor of this row. Three hundred is the typical top and inside this row. Four hundred fifty is $150 past the typical top, $450 under the wider top, and the top of this row. From $250–$300 the job is inside the typical band and inside this row. From $300–$450 the job has left the typical band and stays inside the wider spread. Two hundred fifty can be this row at its floor or 25 windows at $10. Four hundred fifty can be this row at its top or 25 windows at $18. A standard-visit price does not get this row on top.

A large house of about 30 windows is typically $450–$900. The overlap with the typical band is none. Four hundred fifty is $150 past the typical top, the top of the two-story row, and the floor of this row. Nine hundred is the wider top and the top of this row. From $450–$900 the job has left the typical band and stays inside the wider spread. Four hundred fifty can be this row at its floor, a two-story house at its top, or 30 windows at $15. Nine hundred can be this row at its top or 30 windows at $30. A standard-visit price does not get this row on top. A straightforward 15-window visit can still be the typical band when the bid is that visit, not this row with a second name.

Window cleaning cost

Window cleaning cost is this page when the crew is at the house and both sides and the labor are in the price. Window cleaning costs, for that visit, are the same price. A bid that says window cleaning cost and a bid that says the cost of window cleaning are the same dollars when the house, the glass, and the labor match. The typical band, $150–$300, is one standard visit. It is not a second visit stacked on glass you already have.

The visit is often the same morning. Both sides are inside the visit price. They are not a second bill on a number that was already the glass. A rate of $10–$20 a window is a way to read the same visit. Fifteen windows at $10 is $150, the typical floor. Fifteen windows at $20 is $300, the typical top. The rate and the lump sum are two readings of one visit. They are not added. A bid that already names $150–$300 does not get the windows on top.

Labor is often $45–$75 an hour for one cleaner, and a completed visit price already holds that time. Two hours at $75 is $150, the typical floor. Four hours at $75 is $300, the typical top. Two hours at $45 is $90, which is $15 above the wider floor and $60 under the typical floor. Four hours at $45 is $180, inside the typical band, $30 above the typical floor, and $120 under the typical top. The hour and the lump sum are two readings of one visit. They are not added. A bid that already names $150–$300 does not get the hours on top.

Window cleaning prices

Window cleaning prices are the visit price, not the price of a bottle of cleaner. For one standard visit, that cost is $150–$300. A bid that prices the crew and a bid that prices a jug of soap are not the same number. Keep both sides and the labor in the number when a crew is who washes the glass.

Standard glass, both sides, is $8–$16 a window. On the 15 windows of a common visit, that reading is $120–$240. One hundred twenty is $45 above the wider floor and $30 under the typical floor. Two hundred forty is inside the typical band and $60 under the typical top. The overlap with the typical band is $150–$240. From $120–$150 the glass sits under the typical band and inside the wider spread. From $150–$240 the glass is inside the typical band. It is another reading of the same visit, not a second visit. One hundred twenty can be this reading at its floor, 15 windows at $8. Two hundred forty can be this reading at its top, 15 windows at $16. A standard-visit price does not get the standard-glass row on top.

One side only is $4–$8 a window. On those same 15 windows, the reading is $60–$120. Sixty dollars is $15 under the wider floor. One hundred twenty is $45 above the wider floor and $30 under the typical floor. From $60–$75 the one-side visit sits under the wider spread except at $75. From $75–$120 the one-side visit is inside the wider spread and under the typical band. It is the glass without the second side. Sixty dollars can be this reading at its floor, 15 windows at $4. One hundred twenty can be this reading at its top, 15 windows at $8, or standard glass at its floor. A both-sides price does not get the one-side row on top.

Screens the same visit left out are $2–$5 each. On 15 screens, that reading is $30–$75. Thirty dollars is $45 under the wider floor. Seventy-five dollars is the wider floor. From $30–$75 the screens sit under the wider spread except at $75. They are an added line, not the standard visit. One hundred fifty plus $30 is $180, inside the typical band, only when the $150 left the screens out. One hundred fifty plus $75 is $225, inside the typical band, only when the $150 left the screens out. Three hundred plus $30 is $330, which is $30 past the typical top, inside the two-story row, and $570 under the wider top. Three hundred plus $75 is $375, which is $75 past the typical top, inside the two-story row, and $525 under the wider top. A bid that already names the screens does not get this row on top.

Hard-water removal the same visit left out is $10–$30 a window. On 15 windows, that reading is $150–$450. One hundred fifty is the typical floor and the floor of this reading. Four hundred fifty is $150 past the typical top, the top of the two-story row, the floor of the large-house row, and $450 under the wider top. From $150–$300 the removal is inside the typical band. From $300–$450 the removal has left the typical band and stays inside the wider spread. It is an added line, not the standard visit. One hundred fifty plus $150 is $300, the typical top, only when the $150 left the removal out. One hundred fifty plus $450 is $600, which is $300 past the typical top, inside the large-house row, and $300 under the wider top. Three hundred plus $150 is $450, which is $150 past the typical top, the two-story top, and the large-house floor. Three hundred plus $450 is $750, which is $450 past the typical top, inside the large-house row, and $150 under the wider top. A bid that already names the hard-water removal does not get this row on top.

Cost of window cleaning

The cost of window cleaning is the labor on one visit, not a bottle with the labor left out. When the job is one standard visit, that cost is $150–$300. A price near $75 should say a minimum charge, not a 15-window visit with both sides in. A price near $150 should say whether the labor and both sides are both in. One hundred fifty can be this band at its floor. It can also be 15 windows at $10 or two hours at $75. Those can be the same dollars and the same job, read two ways. They are not two bills.

A house of about 10 windows is typically $100–$200. One hundred is $25 above the wider floor and $50 under the typical floor. Two hundred is $100 under the typical top. From $100–$150 the job sits under the typical band and stays inside the wider spread. From $150–$200 the job is inside the typical band. One hundred can be this row at its floor. Two hundred can be this row at its top. A standard-visit price does not get this row on top.

Post-construction glass is $12–$20 a window. On the 15 windows of a common visit, that reading is $180–$300. The whole row sits inside the typical band. One hundred eighty is $30 above the typical floor and the floor of this reading. Three hundred is the typical top and the top of this reading. From $180–$300 the glass is inside the typical band. One hundred eighty can be this reading at its floor, 15 windows at $12. Three hundred can be this reading at its top, 15 windows at $20, or a standard visit at the typical top. A standard-visit price does not get the post-construction row on top. The post-construction row is still the glass. It is not a second crew.

Tracks and sills the same visit left out are $2–$5 a window, the same dollars as a screen. On 15 windows, that reading is $30–$75. Thirty dollars is $45 under the wider floor. Seventy-five dollars is the wider floor. One hundred fifty plus $30 is $180, inside the typical band, only when the $150 left the tracks out. Three hundred plus $75 is $375, which is $75 past the typical top, inside the two-story row, and $525 under the wider top. A bid that already names the tracks does not get this row on top. A screen price does not get the track row on top of the same window when the bid already named both.

How much does window cleaning cost

How much window cleaning costs is the visit at one house. One standard visit, both sides and labor in, is $150–$300. A bid that says how much window cleaning costs and a bid that says window cleaning cost are the same dollars when the house, the glass, and the labor match. A price near $100 should say a house of about 10 windows, not the common visit. A price near $300 should say whether the number is this band at its top, 15 windows at $20, or a two-story house inside its overlap.

A two-story house of about 25 windows is typically $250–$450. Two hundred fifty is $100 above the typical floor. Four hundred fifty is $150 past the typical top and $450 under the wider top. From $250–$300 the job is inside the typical band. From $300–$450 the job has left the typical band and stays inside the wider spread. Two hundred fifty can be this row at its floor. Four hundred fifty can be this row at its top. A 10-window price does not get this row on top.

A large house of about 30 windows is typically $450–$900. Four hundred fifty is $150 past the typical top. Nine hundred is the wider top. From $450–$900 the job has left the typical band and stays inside the wider spread. Four hundred fifty can be this row at its floor. Nine hundred can be this row at its top. A two-story price does not get this row on top.

Three hundred plus $75 for screens the visit left out is $375, which is $75 past the typical top, inside the two-story row, and $525 under the wider top. That $375 can be a standard visit at the typical top plus screens at their top, or a two-story house inside its row. Ask which reading the bid is.

Window cleaning cost per window

Window cleaning cost per window is the glass a crew washes, not a pane on a receipt. One standard visit, both sides and labor in, is $150–$300. A bid that says window cleaning cost per window and a bid that says window cleaning cost are the same dollars when the house, the glass, and the labor match. A price near $8 a window should say standard glass, not the typical floor. A price near $900 should say whether the number is a large house of about 30 windows at the top of the wider spread.

A both-sides foot is $10–$20. The overlap with the typical lump sum is the whole standard visit, because 15 of those windows at $10 are the floor and 15 of those windows at $20 are the top. Fifteen times $10 is $150. Fifteen times $20 is $300. Ten dollars can be this foot at its floor. Twenty dollars can be this foot at its top. A lump sum does not get the foot on top.

A pane is $4–$8. A double-hung window is two panes, so 15 windows are 30 panes. Thirty panes at $4 is $120, which is $45 above the wider floor and $30 under the typical floor. Thirty panes at $8 is $240, inside the typical band and $60 under the typical top. The pane and the window are two readings of one visit. They are not added. A both-sides window price does not get the pane on top.

A house of about 10 windows is $100–$200. Ten times $10 is $100. Ten times $20 is $200. The 10-window house meets the typical band from $150 to $200. A 15-window price does not get the 10-window house on top.

A two-story house of about 25 windows at $10–$18 a window is $250–$450. Twenty-five times $10 is $250. Twenty-five times $18 is $450. The two-story house meets the typical band from $250 to $300. A 15-window price does not get the two-story house on top.

A large house of about 30 windows at $15–$30 a window is $450–$900. Thirty times $15 is $450. Thirty times $30 is $900. The overlap with the typical band is none. Nine hundred is the wider top. From $450–$900 the job is the large house. It is the job when that foot on 30 windows is what the bid priced. Three hundred plus $900 is $1,200, which is $300 past the wider top, only when the $300 left that house out. A bid that already names the large house does not get this row on top.

Two standard visits at the typical top are two jobs. Three hundred plus $300 is $600, which is $300 past the typical top, inside the large-house row, and $300 under the wider top. That $600 is two visits or a large house inside its row. It is not one 10-window house. A number above $900 should name more glass, a second visit, a house clean, a gutter clean, or a house wash. Ask which reading the bid is.

What the range includes

The typical band assumes one standard visit. Both sides are in. The labor is in. The glass is reachable. The house is about 15 windows. The day is a weekday. The standard-visit row, $150–$300, is the band. A house of about 10 windows is in the band only from $150 to $200. A two-story house is in the band only from $250 to $300. A large house is not in the band. Standard glass on 15 windows is in the band only from $150 to $240. One side on 15 windows sits under the band. Screens on 15 windows sit under the band except at $75, the wider floor. New windows, a house clean, a gutter clean, and a house wash are not in the band.

How long the work takes depends on the glass, and the bid’s schedule is the one that counts. A visit of one standard house is often the same morning. The time is a way to read that visit. It is not a second clock on a price that was already the glass. The next season’s visit is not in this price.

The floor of the wider spread, $75, is a minimum charge. It is not a standard visit someone discounted. The top, $900, is a large house of about 30 windows at $30 a window. It is not the standard-visit row plus every add-on. Three hundred plus $75 for screens is $375, not $900. Three hundred plus $300 for a second visit at the typical top is $600, not $900. Two times $300 is $600, which is $300 under the wider top. A number above $900 should name more glass, a second visit, or a job past this page. Ask which one.

None of the bands include screens on a visit the bid already priced, except where those screens are a line the visit left out. The screen line, on 15 screens, is $30–$75. Thirty dollars is $45 under the wider floor. A completed visit price does not get this row. Three hundred plus $75 is $375 only when the $300 left the screens out.

None of the bands include hard-water removal on a price the bid already built, except where that removal is a line the visit left out. The hard-water line, on 15 windows, is $150–$450. One hundred fifty is the typical floor. One hundred fifty plus $150 is $300, the typical top, only when the $150 left the removal out. Three hundred plus $450 is $750, which is $450 past the typical top and $150 under the wider top. A visit that already names the removal does not get $150–$450 on top.

None of the bands include one side the both-sides price left out, except as its own row. One side on 15 windows is $60–$120. Sixty dollars is $15 under the wider floor. One hundred twenty is $30 under the typical floor. A both-sides visit does not get the one-side row. A one-side visit that already is the job does not get $150–$300 on top.

None of the bands include a house clean, which is the house cleaning guide, often $120–$240 for one standard clean of a single-family house, inside a wider spread of about $75–$750. One hundred twenty is the floor of that typical band. Two hundred forty is the top of that typical band. One hundred fifty plus $120 is $270, inside this page’s typical band, $30 past that guide’s typical top, and $480 under that guide’s wider top. One hundred fifty plus $240 is $390, which is $90 past this page’s typical top, inside the two-story row, and $360 under that guide’s wider top. Three hundred plus $120 is $420, which is $120 past this page’s typical top, inside the two-story row, and $330 under that guide’s wider top. Three hundred plus $240 is $540, which is $240 past this page’s typical top, inside the large-house row, and $210 under that guide’s wider top. That sum is a window visit plus a house clean only when each bid left the other out. A house-clean price that already includes the glass does not get this page on top.

None of the bands include a gutter clean, which is the gutter cleaning guide, often $120–$250 for one clean of a single-family house, inside a wider spread of about $70–$450. One hundred twenty is the floor of that typical band. Two hundred fifty is the top of that typical band. One hundred fifty plus $120 is $270, inside this page’s typical band, $20 past that guide’s typical top, and $180 under that guide’s wider top. One hundred fifty plus $250 is $400, which is $100 past this page’s typical top, inside the two-story row, and $50 under that guide’s wider top. Three hundred plus $120 is $420, which is $120 past this page’s typical top, inside the two-story row, and $30 under that guide’s wider top. Three hundred plus $250 is $550, which is $250 past this page’s typical top, inside the large-house row, and $100 past that guide’s wider top. That sum is a window visit plus a gutter clean only when each bid left the other out. A gutter price that already includes the glass does not get this page on top.

None of the bands include new windows, which is the window replacement guide, often $6,000–$12,000 for about 10 standard double-hung vinyl windows, inside a wider spread of about $3,000–$30,000. Six thousand is the floor of that typical band. One hundred fifty plus $6,000 is $6,150, inside that guide’s typical band. One hundred fifty plus $12,000 is $12,150, which is $150 past that guide’s typical top and $17,850 under that guide’s wider top. Three hundred plus $6,000 is $6,300, inside that guide’s typical band. Three hundred plus $12,000 is $12,300, which is $300 past that guide’s typical top and $17,700 under that guide’s wider top. That sum is a window visit plus new windows only when each bid left the other out. A replacement price that already includes a wash of the new glass does not get this page on top.

None of the bands include a house wash, which is the pressure washing guide, often $200–$450 for one wash of a single-family house exterior, inside a wider spread of about $50–$2,500. Two hundred is the floor of that typical band. Four hundred fifty is the top of that typical band. One hundred fifty plus $200 is $350, which is $50 past this page’s typical top, inside the two-story row, and inside that guide’s typical band. One hundred fifty plus $450 is $600, which is $300 past this page’s typical top, inside the large-house row, $150 past that guide’s typical top, and $1,900 under that guide’s wider top. Three hundred plus $200 is $500, which is $200 past this page’s typical top, inside the large-house row, $50 past that guide’s typical top, and $2,000 under that guide’s wider top. Three hundred plus $450 is $750, which is $450 past this page’s typical top, inside the large-house row, $300 past that guide’s typical top, and $1,750 under that guide’s wider top. That sum is a window visit plus a house wash only when each bid left the other out. A wash price that already includes the glass does not get this page on top.

The band is the visit price. A coupon on the visit is not subtracted. Read the form before you take a number off the bid. A credit you have not received is not inside the planning range. This page does not price a coupon, and it does not name a percentage of the cost that comes back at resale.

Warranties are part of the contract, and this page is not a reading of one company’s form. A visit, when the company offers a return for a pane the crew missed, is about that pane. Read it. The return visit is not a dollar line in the planning range.

A standard homeowners policy is built around sudden and accidental damage. Glass you left dirty is the kind of maintenance those policies commonly leave with the owner. A storm that breaks a covered pane, when the form responds to it, is a different question from a visit you are buying. Read the form before you treat the policy as the budget. The $150–$300 band is not an insurance estimate.

A permit the city requires is a line on that bid. This page does not price a city’s fee on top of a complete visit price. A wash of existing glass is not a permitted building in the ordinary case. A visit that already names a fee does not get that fee on top.

As a cross-check, not a bid: one standard visit, both sides and labor in, is $150–$300, the typical band. A house of about 10 windows is $100–$200. A two-story house of about 25 windows is $250–$450. A large house of about 30 windows is $450–$900. Screens the visit left out, on 15 screens, are $30–$75. If a bid and that reading are far apart, the bid is a different count, a left-out screen, a second visit, a house clean, a gutter clean, or a house wash.

What moves the price

DriverHow it changes the bid
The visitOne standard visit, both sides and labor in, is $150–$300, the typical band. A house of about 10 windows is $100–$200, and the typical band includes that row only from $150 to $200. A two-story house is $250–$450, and the typical band includes that row only from $250 to $300. A large house is $450–$900, and the typical band does not include that row. The visit picks the row. It is not a second bill.
The windowA rate of $10–$20 a window is a reading of the same visit. Fifteen windows at $10 is $150. Fifteen windows at $20 is $300. Standard glass at $8–$16 is $120–$240 on 15 windows. One side at $4–$8 is $60–$120 on 15 windows. The window is not a second bill.
The heightA two-story house of about 25 windows at $10–$18 a window is $250–$450. A large house of about 30 windows at $15–$30 a window is $450–$900. Four hundred fifty is the two-story top and the large-house floor. The height picks the row. It is not a second bill.
The glassStandard glass on 15 windows is $120–$240, and the typical band includes that row only from $150 to $240. Post-construction glass on 15 windows is $180–$300, and that whole row sits inside the typical band. A standard-visit price does not get the post-construction row.
The laborLabor of $45–$75 an hour is inside the visit price. Two hours at $75 is $150. Four hours at $75 is $300. Two hours at $45 is $90, which is $15 above the wider floor. The labor is not a second bill.
The screenScreens the bid leaves out, on 15 screens, are $30–$75. Thirty dollars is $45 under the wider floor. A completed price of $150–$300 already holds a screen the bid named. Three hundred plus $75 is $375 only when the $300 left the screens out.
The spotsHard-water removal the bid leaves out, on 15 windows, is $150–$450. One hundred fifty is the typical floor. A completed price of $150–$300 already holds a removal the bid named. Three hundred plus $450 is $750 only when the $300 left the removal out.
The second visitTwo visits at the typical top are $600, which is $300 under the wider top. That reading is two visits. It is not one 10-window house.
The other jobNew windows are $6,000–$12,000 on the window replacement guide. A house clean is $120–$240 on the house cleaning guide. A gutter clean is $120–$250 on the gutter cleaning guide. A house wash is $200–$450 on the pressure washing guide. Sashes the bid is replacing, rooms the bid is cleaning, troughs the bid is clearing, or siding the bid is washing do not get this page on top when that price already includes the glass.

The count is the first cut, and it is not a rate you add to itself. A standard visit at $150, 15 windows at $10, and two hours at $75 can share those dollars. They are not the same visit three times. One hundred fifty is the typical floor, 15 windows at the typical rate floor, and two hours at $75. Ask which visit is in the price.

The height is the second cut. A standard visit at $300, a two-story house inside its overlap, and 15 windows at $20 can share those dollars. One is the typical top. One is the two-story row inside the band. One is the both-sides foot at its top. The higher number is not a typical visit that someone misread as a second house.

The same standard visit in a lower-cost area and in a high-labor city can sit at opposite ends of $150–$300 without either bid being wrong. Ask whether the price is the count, the foot, or both, and ask whether screens, hard water, or a second visit is in. Window replacement, house cleaning, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing are the projects that meet this visit and are not the visit. Price them on their own pages. Two bids that disagree about the count, the foot, and whether both sides are included are not the same job.

DIY or hire

Hire the glass. A second-story pane, a ladder on a slope, and a screen that has to go back in the same track are where a small miss becomes a second visit. The labor, the height, and the glass are the job. A Saturday with a garden hose is where those three get missed.

A wipe the owner can do is a different product. Supplies for that wipe — a squeegee, a scrubber, and a solution — are $40–$100. Forty dollars is $35 under the wider floor. One hundred is $25 above the wider floor and $50 under the typical floor. From $40–$75 the supplies sit under the wider spread except at $75. From $75–$100 the supplies are inside the wider spread and under the typical band. That number is the supplies, not the crew’s visit. On the one pro visit, one standard window cleaning is $150–$300. That is the labor for the glass.

Do not treat the supplies as the visit. If the second story, the screens, and the tracks still have to be done, you are pricing a crew’s job without the crew. The person on the ladder should say what happens if a seal or a screen is damaged. Wiping one reachable pane is the owner’s part. A receipt for a squeegee is not this installed rate.

Repair or replace

Clean the glass when the panes are sound and the house is staying. A small interior wipe the owner does is not this band. A quote near $75 should say a minimum charge, not a 15-window visit. A quote near $150 should say whether both sides and the labor are in. A quote near $300 can be a standard visit at its top, 15 windows at $20, or a two-story house inside its overlap. Ask which reading the bid is.

Price a house of about 10 windows on $100–$200. Price a two-story house on $250–$450. Price a large house on $450–$900, and do not read that large house as the standard band with a different name. Do not read a house clean as the visit band with a different name.

Send failed sashes, with the glass already out of the question, to the window replacement guide, typically $6,000–$12,000 for about 10 windows. Send dirty rooms to the house cleaning guide, typically $120–$240. Send packed gutters to the gutter cleaning guide, typically $120–$250. Send dirty siding to the pressure washing guide, typically $200–$450. If the same season includes any of those, they are separate scopes. Do not fold them into the visit price.

How long a clean pane lasts is not a number on this page. A one-house visit is not a warranty that the glass will stay clear. A new season of pollen is not a warranty that the house will never need another visit. The bid’s scope is the work you bought.

How to use this number

Ask two or three window cleaners for a written price that names the window count, whether the price is a lump sum or a per-window rate, whether both sides and the labor are included, whether screens and hard-water removal are already inside the price, and what happens if a screen or a seal is damaged. Compare one standard visit, both sides and labor in, with $150–$300. Compare a house of about 10 windows with $100–$200, a two-story house with $250–$450, a large house with $450–$900, and a both-sides window with $10–$20. Keep the count and the labor inside those rows. Put a left-out screen, on 15 screens, at $30–$75, and a left-out hard-water removal, on 15 windows, at $150–$450, on their own lines.

A very low bid on one visit is a reason to ask whether the labor is included, not a reason to celebrate. A quote near $60 should say one side on 15 windows, not a crew on both sides. A quote near $150 should say whether both sides are in. A high bid should point at count, height, hard water, a tight access, or the labor market. Two or three local bids on the same count, the same sides, and the same glass are the number that matters. How this site sets the band is explained on the methodology page.

Common questions

Answers describe national planning ranges, not your house.

What is the window cleaning cost?

A typical planning range for the window cleaning cost is $150 to $300 for one visit at a single-family house of about 15 windows, inside a wider spread of roughly $75 to $900. That scope is both sides of the glass and the labor in one price. A house of about 10 windows is $100 to $200. A two-story house of about 25 windows is $250 to $450. A large house of about 30 windows is $450 to $900. These are typical planning ranges, not quotes.

What are window cleaning prices?

Window cleaning prices, when the house and the labor match, are the same planning range. One visit of about 15 windows, both sides and labor in, is typically $150 to $300. One side only on those 15 windows is $60 to $120. Standard glass on those 15 windows, at $8 to $16 a window, is $120 to $240. One hundred fifty plus $30 for screens the visit left out is $180, inside the typical band. Three hundred plus $75 is $375, which is $75 past the typical top. These are typical planning ranges, not quotes.

What is the cost of window cleaning?

The cost of window cleaning, when both sides and the labor are in the price, is the installed band of $150 to $300. A bid that says cost of window cleaning and a bid that says window cleaning cost are the same dollars when the house, the glass, and the labor match. A house of about 10 windows is $100 to $200. Labor at $75 an hour for two hours is $150, the typical floor. One hundred fifty plus $150 for hard-water removal the visit left out is $300, the typical top. These are typical planning ranges, not quotes.

How much does window cleaning cost?

Window cleaning costs $150 to $300 for one visit of about 15 windows, both sides and labor in. A house of about 10 windows is $100 to $200. A two-story house of about 25 windows is $250 to $450. A large house of about 30 windows is $450 to $900. Three hundred can be this band at its top, 15 windows at $20, or a two-story house inside its overlap. These visits replace one another. They are not three bills under one visit. These are typical planning ranges, not quotes.

What is the window cleaning cost per window?

Window cleaning cost per window, for a visit at $10 to $20 a window, is $150 to $300 on about 15 windows. Fifteen windows at $10 is $150, the typical floor. Fifteen windows at $20 is $300, the typical top. One side is $4 to $8 a window. Standard glass, both sides, is $8 to $16 a window. That reading replaces the standard visit. It is not the standard visit plus the per-window rate. These are typical planning ranges, not quotes.
